Record Breaking Fundraising Underscores Importance of the Race
FT. WORTH TX – Phil Sorrells, experienced former prosecutor and criminal court judge and conservative Republican candidate for Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney, released the following statement regarding his campaign finance report:
“Public safety is government’s first responsibility. I am humbled and pleased at the financial support we have attracted. Voters are concerned about their safety. Violent crime is on the rise across Texas. There has been a nearly 10% increase in murders in Ft. Worth in just the past year.
“Tarrant County is the largest red county in America. I’ve been able to attract support from all across Texas because they know that what goes on here impacts every citizen of our state.
“Voters know that experience matters. It will require someone with experience as a prosecutor to lead the office. I believe I am that candidate,” Sorrells concluded.
Campaign finance reports are due from the candidates in races for the 2022 elections today. The Sorrells Campaign will report having raised nearly $500,000 in just 42 days. Sorrells declared as a candidate on November 19.
“Tarrant County is one of the nation’s most important battlegrounds in the fight against the dangerous and destructive policies of progressive prosecutors backed by billionaire George Soros that are the leading cause of the crime wave sweeping America. Phil Sorrells won’t back down,” said Allen Blakemore, political strategist to the Sorrells Campaign.
