FT. WORTH TX – Phil Sorrells, experienced former prosecutor and criminal court judge and conservative Republican candidate for Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney, was pleased to host Dr. Ben Carson at his home for a grassroots event attended by nearly 200 people over the weekend.
Dr. Ben Carson supports Phil Sorrells for Tarrant County District Attorney. Speaking at a grassroots event at the Sorrells’ home, Carson cited Sorrells’ experience as the driving factor in the support for his candidacy.
“It is so critical that we know who we are supporting, who we are voting for, I am absolutely thrilled to be supporting Phil Sorrells because he’s had five years of experience as a prosecutor and 25 years as a judge. He has had a chance to see the results of good and bad decisions,” shared Carson.
Carson served as the 17th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Prior to this position, Carson served as Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Among his many recognitions, Carson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Spingarn Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the NAACP. Today, Carson is recognized as a key influence in the conservative Republican Party.
